Masterclasses Navigating Numbers in Medicine

The first module will cover the basic skills necessary for dealing with numbers in daily practice to support healing and patient care. In the second module you will read a series of papers as well as a selected book to show you how medical science tries to answer the ultimate question: „Should we treat or not?“.

QUEST Education Program

The QUEST center offers a broad range of courses. These cover methods in preclinical and clinical settings that facilitate transparency and good scientific practice. These courses are aimed mainly at biomedical students and researchers at MDC and Charité.

BEMC Berlin Epidemiological Methods Colloquium

BEMC Talks consist of a 60-75 minute english lectures followed by an interactive discussion session with the speaker and other participants. Please register in advance to secure a seat- space is limited!

Audience: BEMC Talks are designed for an audience having at least some experience with epidemiological methods (intermediate to advanced level).

BEMC Journal Club

The topics will vary from meeting to meeting. Sometimes, we will be inspired by the topic of the BEMC Talk, sometimes we will pick a recent paper from top epidemiology journals, and other times we will just pick a topic we like. In short, the program will be determined “as we go” by frequent attendees of the JClub. The paper will be announced in advance via this website and the BEMC mailing list at least 2 weeks before the meeting. Please register in advance to secure a seat- space is limited!
